The Crichton Community Council (CCC), is a volunteer organization that has provided neighbourhood events and programs in New Edinburgh since 1993. Annual events include:

  • New Year’s Day brunch (January 1st)
  • Hockey Day (February)
  • Bike Day and Sale (last Saturday in April)
  • Plant Sale (Saturday before Mother’s Day)
  • Ottawa Marathon Cheering Station and Family BBQ (end of May)
  • Children’s Drop-In Programming (July & August)
  • Films at the New Edinburgh Park Fieldhouse (August & September)
  • Garage Sale (third Saturday in September)
  • Halloween Howl (Saturday before Halloween)

Other activities of the CCC include:

  • maintenance of the New Edinburgh skating rinks
  • management of the New Edinburgh Fieldhouse rentals
  • stewardship of the New Edinburgh playground and surrounding public spaces
