Jeremy Fisher – Adult Oriented Evening Concert at the Fieldhouse (CCC)

Jeremy Fisher plays two concerts – a youth oriented afternoon show and an adult oriented evening show – at the New Edinburgh Park Fieldhouse (203 Stanley Avenue, Ottawa) on Saturday, June 1

Doors open at 7:00 p.m.. Music at 8:00 p.m.. The show will run for approximately 90 minutes with one intermission.

Tickets are general admission. There are only 75 seats in the venue. This event will sell out. Come early to claim a seat, then wet your whistle before the show. Standing room is available at the back of the room, near the bar.

Licensed drinks and snacks will be available.

The Rideau River East Multi Use Pathway runs past the front door. A bus stop for OC Traspo route 9 is about 250 m from the venue. On street parking is available.

Plan to spend some time in the public spaces that surround the venue. Walk along the the Rideau River trail to Rideau Falls. Walk back to the venue past 24 Sussex and Rideau Hall. Climb, slide or swing on the play structures. Have a meal or a drink on Beechwood Avenue before or after the show.  Saturday, June 1 is the first day of the Beechwood Market that happens in New Edinburgh Park from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. right outside the Fieldhouse.

Jeremy Fisher is a 4-time JUNO-nominated folk-pop singer-songwriter based in Ottawa. He has released 6 studio albums and his music has been featured on radio, in film (The Big Year, Our Idiot Brother), commercials (Volkswagen, American Airlines), and as main title TV themes (Disney, Global). Over the last 20 years Jeremy has toured the world and shared the stage with artists such as Alanis Morissette, Blue Rodeo and Indigo Girls.

He is a co-creator, songwriter and voice actor for the CBC animated series Jeremy and Jazzy, a show about how feelings become songs, songs become stories, and music, friendship, and collaboration create joy.

 

 

This event is proudly presented by the Crichton Community Council (CCC), a volunteer organization that serves Ottawa’s New Edinburgh neighbourhood and the surrounding community. All proceeds from this initiative are used in support of future community events and for the purchase of equipment.

Since 1974 the CCC has worked to enhance New Edinburgh’s sense of community and foster an inclusive spirit among residents. The CCC acts as the steward of New Edinburgh Park and the Fieldhouse – the hub of the neighbourhood – on behalf of the City of Ottawa, in the interest of New Edinburgh residents. The CCC is a volunteer run not-for-profit organization that provides seasonal programs and ongoing community service in New Edinburgh.
